WALTER HILL (AP) — A judge in Tennessee dismissed criminal charges against an elementary school principal and special education teacher accused of dragging a 10-year-old boy through a hallway by his feet.

Rutherford County Judge Lisa Eischeid ruled that there wasn’t enough probable cause to prove the child abuse and endangerment charges against Walter Hill Elementary Principal Helen Campbell and teacher Bonnie Marlar, Campbell’s attorney told news outlets on Monday.

The dragging was captured on security video and Campbell acknowledged helping Marlar pull the boy through the school by his feet, according to sheriff’s office records. The boy suffered injuries to his head, the records said.

County Schools Director Bill Spurlock suspended the educators in November as the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office investigated. Their employment status wasn’t immediately updated.
