DOVER – Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have arrested and charged a Stewart County man accused of causing serious injuries to his three-year-old stepson.
At the request of 23rd District Attorney General Ray Crouch, TBI Agents began investigating the boy’s assault and subsequent hospitalization Thursday, following an incident at the family’s Hidden Hollow Drive home in Dover. As a result of the investigation, Agents developed information leading to Stephen Mitchell Woolman, 26, as the individual responsible for the crime.
On Thursday night, Agents arrested Woolman, charged him with one count of Aggravated Child Abuse, and booked him into the Stewart County Jail, where, at the time of this release, he was being held without bond.
