Larry Tom Costner

Larry Tom Costner, 82, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Casar, N.C., he was a son of the late Everett and Mattie Chapman Costner.
Larry was a graduate of North Carolina State with a degree in Textile Technology and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at East Tennessee State University. He had lived in Elizabethton since 1984. He was retired as a Lab Manager with North American Rayon Corporation.
Larry was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church. He loved model airplanes and working Sudoku puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Costner.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Flossie Carroll Costner; two children, Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Roller and husband Ralph and Lori Lynetta Elliott and husband Johnny; two grandchildren, Justina Marie Roller and Erica Lynn Roller; and a step-brother, Victor Costner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Freddie Carroll, minister, officiating. Active pallbearers will be Johnny Elliott, Doug Carroll, Gary Pritchard, Charles Ray Carroll and Johnny Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Roller, Burdette Carroll and Fred Carroll.
