Thelma L. Harwood

Thelma L. Harwood, 86, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at Hermitage Healthcare Center. She was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Jay Wagner and Lilly Greer Wagner.
Mrs. Harwood was a member of the Prayer Tabernacle of Elizabethton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Harwood, in 1985; a granddaughter, Charity Nicole Harwood; two brothers, William “Bill” Wagner and Rev. Gordon Wagner; and a sister, Bessie Bowling.
Survivors include three sons, Gary Harwood and wife, Judy, Jerry Harwood and wife, Sandra, and Rocky Harwood and wife, Sandy, all of Johnson City; two brothers, Murrell Wagner and wife, Geraldine, of Elizabethton, and Darrell Harwood and wife, Linda, also of Elizabethton; two sisters, Della Barnett of Johnson City and Marie Bosewell of Ohio; grandchildren, Gary Michael Harwood Jr., Christen Nicole Harwood McKamey, Daniel Stephen Harwood, Jennifer Harwood Snodgrass and Monica Harwood; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Harwood will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Washington County Memory Gardens with Rev. Walter Roberson officiating.
