Pauline Wilson Ensor, 89, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020, at NHC, Bristol, Va., after an extended illness. She was the last living member of the Taylor L. Wilson Sr. and Edith Vanhuss Wilson family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Glen Ensor, on May 11, 2019; five brothers, Ruble “Bud,” Houston “Toots,” Harry, William “Bill” and Taylor Wilson Jr.; and two sisters, Trula Frost and Emma Jean Wilson.
Mrs. Ensor was retired from Tri-State Container and spent her time as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church and a member of the WMU.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Mick Kyte, Blountville; a granddaughter, Taylor Kyte, Kingsport; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Houston “Jeanette” Wilson, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Hope Pearson for being her caregiver before entering NHC. Thank you to the second floor nursing staff for all the care and attention given to Mom during her stay. A very special thank you to Sarah Woodby at NHC for being Mom’s daily lunch date and being our eyes and ears on Mom during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, in the Wilson Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Heaton officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 12 noon until 5 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wilson Cemetery, c/o Leonard Lewis, 115 Willshire Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
