Martha Ann Heaton Hardin, 62, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020, at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Bobby Eugene and Margaret Lorraine Nave Heaton.
Martha graduated from Unaka High School in 1973 and then continued her education at ETSU. She worked in finance and customer service at Siemens. She volunteered with the Buddy Walk Foundation, the Down Syndrome Association and the Lynn Valley Baptist Clothes Closet. Martha was a member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Justin Stout.
Survivors include her children, Steven (Tanika) Hardin, Hampton, Tenn., T.J. (Stephanie) Hardin, Hendersonville, N.C., Ben Hardin (Nichole Lawrence) and Jordan Hardin, all of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Lyla, Campbell, Claire, Veda and Hazel Hardin; two brothers, Tim (Belinda) Heaton and Bobby (Joy) Heaton; and her nieces and nephews, Kristina Heaton, Sara (Paul) Hollier, Shane (Amanda) Heaton, Brooks (Chris) Blair, Erin Wiles and Logan Heaton. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Lynn Valley Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, her sons request donations to be made for the care of their brother, Jordan Hardin % Bobby and Joy Heaton, 134 Pleasant Hill Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
