Services for Robert “Bob” Buck, 86, of Lindale, Texas and formerly of Elizabethton, Tenn., will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, at the Heritage Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tenn., with Dr. Tom Buck, Dr. Gary Montgomery, Dr. Herb Reavis Jr. and Dr. Reggie Weems officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Buck passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, in Lindale, Texas. He was born in Carter County, Tenn., on October 28, 1933 to the late Foy D. and Edith (Lewis) Buck.
Mr. Buck was a longtime resident of Elizabethton, Tenn., before moving to Lindale, Texas in 2016. He was a member and served as a deacon at Heritage Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tenn., and later attended Lindale First Baptist Church. He worked in sales as a wholesale candy distributor and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny and Gary Buck.
He is survived by his wife, Janette Buck of Lindale, Texas; daughter, Lisa Reavis and husband, Dr. Herb Reavis Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, Dr. Tom Buck and wife, Jennifer of Lindale, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua Reavis, Jonathan Reavis, Joseph Reavis, Dallas Buck, Madison Buck and Jackson Buck; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Crowe and Teresa Buck; brothers, Carroll Buck, Gene Buck and Tim Buck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lindale First Baptist Church Building Fund.
