Imogene Tester Morris, 83, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Martha Bryant Tester.
Imogene was a homemaker. She attended Powder Branch Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Morris; one son, Bobby Lee Morris Sr.; and by four brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include her children, Lori Hilbert and Jimmy Morris, both of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Brittany (Russell) Hughes, Amber (T.J.) Oxendine and Bobby Morris Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Tristin Oxendine and Jax Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Gene Cornett officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, will be Russell Hughes, T.J. Oxendine, Bobby Morris Jr., Joey McKeehan, Josh Hubbard and Ozzy Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be the church family at Powder Branch Baptist Church. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hillview Health Center and Dr. Victoria Shankle. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 12 noon until 5 p.m. Friday or Sunday morning until 12 noon. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
