WASHINGTON COUNTY — According to Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal, one inmate has tested positive for COVID-19 at the Washington County Detention Center. Sheriff’s Office officials said the inmate is at a local hospital. Any inmates who had possible exposure to this individual are being isolated in a jail pod and closely monitored for any symptoms. The Sheriff’s Office employees who had direct contact with the inmate are being quarantined and monitored for symptoms. The Sheriff’s Office will be working closely with the Washington County Health Department for guidance as they diligently monitor the situation.
