Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have a drive-in service Sunday at 10 a.m. Cars will park in the fellowship hall parking lot, and everyone is asked to remain in their car.

The speaker will be the Rev. Jerry Stout.

The public is invited.

Online services will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. Sunday’s service will mark the beginning of a three-week series on the church that has dealt with pandemics throughout history. The congregation will share worship with Norcross Presbyterian Church, Norcross, Ga., and Fondren Presbyterian Church, Jackson, Miss., hearing from a different preacher each week.

This Sunday, the Rev. Matt Fry, Norcross, will speak on the Second Century Antonine Plague, using scripture from Ps. 146 and John 13: 34-35.

Youth and Adult Forums, Wednesday Meditation, and Thursdays with Jesus will all meet online this week.

All in-person events have been canceled through the end of July.

Dr. Brian Wyatt is pastor at First Presbyterian.

The ARM Fundraiser Concert, originally scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15, at Borderview Christian Church, has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Already postponed once from May, the concert will be planned after the pandemic subsides.

The Assistance and Resources Ministry continues to require funds to operate its food pantry operation here in Elizabethton. If you had planned to attend and would like to forward a donation, please mail to ARM, 714 West C St., Elizabethton.

First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will have one worship service Sunday, beginning at 9:45 a.m. The service will include classes for all children.

The congregation will continue to follow the green and red social distancing seating. Masks and sanitizer will be available at the welcome center table.

The worship service will be recorded and posted to the church’s Facebook page and sent out in an e-mail to the congregation. There will also be curbside communion for those who do not feel comfortable leaving their vehicles.
