Wanda Kay Julian, 71, Roan Mountain, Tenn., went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at her residence. Wanda lived most of her life in Carter County and was the daughter of the late Sam and Nola Clark.
Wanda was an employee of Summers-Taylor for 15 years and after retiring she took care of her husband, Eddie, until his death.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin infant sons, John and James, and loving husband, Eddie Julian, of 42 years.
Survivors include three children, Charles Julian, of the home, Eddie Wayne Julian and daughter-in-law Lisa Julian, Roan Mountain, and Sheila Connors, Gray; brother, Bo Clark and sister-in-law Patsy Clark of Kingsport; sister, Shirley Grindstaff of Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Shaun Julian, Carrie Murray, Duane Yeager, Katie Gocial and Sara Julian. Left to carry on her memory who she loved dearly were her great-grandbabies, Sophie, Eli, Payton, Damian and Jayme; and long-time friend, Bert Johnson.
Wanda will be remembered for her hard work and dedication to her family. She was a loving wife and trusting friend. Those who met Wanda always got what they saw. She would always tell you the truth whether it hurt or not. She was truly a one of a kind.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy English officiating. Interment will follow in the Captain Nelson Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
