With long lines much of the day, many local residents wanting to make sure that their vote counted turned out en mass on Wednesday – the first full day of early voting in the state of Tennessee.
One local candidate stated that when she arrived at 9:20 am on Wednesday that the line stretched from the entrance all the way around to the other side of the building with the waiting time somewhere around one hour.
When voters prepare to cast their early ballots, it is important they come prepared for a wait as there was one voter who collapsed and had to be treated by the Carter County Rescue Squad.
Even though the lines may seem long, with a record-breaking turnout expected for the 2020 November election, the early voting lines will pale in comparison with what voters will find on election day.
