JOHNSON CITY – The East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Wednesday that they will transition to digital ticketing beginning this upcoming 2020-21 season.
To coincide with the digital ticketing plan, presented by The Pinnacle Bristol, ETSU also launched a new ticketing website, ETSUTickets.com, in partnership with AudienceView. Season ticket holders and donors can access their profiles by using the steps found here.
On game days, fans will now enter into each ETSU Athletics venue by utilizing digital tickets from their mobile device, eliminating the need for a printed, physical ticket.
The move to digital ticketing provides the safest, easiest, and most convenient option for access into all of ETSU’s ticketed facilities.
Digital ticketing also protects the integrity of tickets, improving protection against fraud, counterfeit, and lost tickets while also providing more efficient means to transfer tickets to others.
“Digital ticketing is becoming the industry standard and a best practice utilized around the country,” said ETSU Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations Dr. Matt McGahey.
“Digital ticketing will enhance the fan experience while providing additional convenience, safety, and security for our fans. Our staff looks forward to providing customer service to fans who have questions regarding our new ticketing process.”
With the conversion to digital ticketing, the purchaser or recipient of the tickets must have a smartphone to access their digital ticket(s).
It is critical recipients of a digital ticket(s) immediately add them to their smartphone’s digital wallet upon receiving the email or text delivery.
This allows the ticket holder to quickly access their digital ticket(s) on their mobile device on game day in the event of limited data connections through Wi-Fi or cellular service.
It also ensures the ticket holder has their ticket(s) with them wherever they are located.
Support will be made for fans who do not have access to a digital ticketing-friendly device and require a traditional, printed option.
If ticket holders do not have access to a smartphone for any reason, please contact the ETSU Athletics Ticket Office at 423-439-3878 or email email@example.com, to make other arrangements.
Please look for emails containing information about ticketing plans regarding the upcoming basketball and football seasons in the near future, as well as directions on how to access and use digital tickets.
Information can also be accessed quickly and easily by visiting ETSUTickets.com.
