Assistance and Resources Ministry, Inc., 714 West C St., Elizabethton, has been provided with an electric pallet jack from a grant from the Eddie Jack Miller Estate, managed by the Second Harvest Food Bank of NE Tennessee. “The pallet jack has revolutionized our ability to pick up and move food donations to and around the facility. The manual versions require more than the aging volunteers can manage,” said an ARM spokesman. The organization, in its pandemic plan, continues to provide food for qualifying Carter County families Tuesdays and Wednesdays through December 16, from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:30 to 3:45 p.m. ARM will be closed for two weeks for the holidays and will reopen on January 5. All ARM clients are reminded to come the first two weeks of December.
