Ron left his earthly home in Elizabethton, Tenn., to be with the Lord on December 5, 2020, after a long battle with diabetes and liver disease. He was born on May 29, 1948 in Asheville, N.C.
Ron retired from the U.S. Army in 1985. Later he owned a construction company and was a state grain inspector in Wisconsin and Illinois. He restored and detailed automobiles.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother and father, Frances and Hobert Ledford, and two sisters, Gloria Burrell and Wanda Hoglen.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Ledford; children, Michelle Davis (Mike), Ted Stevens (Tracey), Craig Stevens (Samantha) and Christopher Ledford; grandchildren, Kelsey Parrish (David), Justin Lee (Amanda), Rashaune Dela Cruz (Josh), Dylan Lee and Teagen; great-grandchildren, Michael, Kamrin, Karter, Legend, Freya and Lyric; his siblings: two sisters, Barbara Metcaf and Carolyn Carver (Dennis), and brother, Michael Ledford (Debbie).
Ron loved old cars, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, “Santa Claus” and spreading the gospel of First Christian Church.
