Residents of Golf Course Acres for the past 41 years have had a community-wide program to celebrate the Christmas season — luminaries. The 4,000 lighted bags filled with sand and a candle, will be lit this Saturday, and will line the streets of the neighborhood. Everyone is invited to visit the neighborhood and view the luminaries and homes, which have been decorated for the Christmas season. “It is our way of saying ‘Merry Christmas’ to the community,” said a community spokesperson.
