Proverbs 31:31: “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
On Thursday, December 10, 2020, our loving mother, sister and friend, Angela L. “Ann” Jones, 82, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord and her dear family before her from the Johnson City Medical Center. Ann was born, raised and a lifelong resident of Carter County. Her parents, Clyde Booker and Hazel Louise Moffitt, preceded her in death as well as her first husband and the father of her children, R.C. Trivett; her second husband, George Jones; and her sister, Linda Collins.
Above all else, Ann was a wonderful mother, her greatest joy was her family and if you met her once, you were part of her family. She was a very independent lady, she never backed down from hard work and raised her children to know that with hard work anything could be accomplished.
Ann worked at North American Rayon of Elizabethton while also being a homemaker, wife and mother. To say Ann was dynamic would be an understatement to her strength and perseverance. Through her children, you can see her love and legacy, a true testament of her love, not only for them, but for everyone whose lives she touched with a word of encouragement or a simple smile. Angela was a member of the Elizabethton First Church of the Nazarene.
Ann leaves behind her three devoted children, who were always by her side: Keith Trivette (Miss Connie Glover), Teresa Fenner and her husband John, and Steven Trivett, all of Elizabethton; her sisters, Dr. Janice Brice Miller, of Elizabethton, Faye Moffitt Smith and husband John, also of Johnson City, and Jeana Booker, of Elizabethton. Also surviving is her special friend, Joe Lewis, her extended Trivett and Jones family from her previous marriages and friends that she had made and kept over the years. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Ann will surely be fondly remembered, cherished and missed!
A service to honor the life of Angela Jones will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 14, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Reverend Kenley Knight officiating. There will be an open visitation from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Tetrick Funeral Home, prior to the service.
