The Elizabethton Cyclones held their annual John Klock Wrestling Classic as the home team managed to pull out a pair of victories over Volunteer and South while falling in a close match to Tennessee High.

David Crockett also handed the Cyclones a defeat as the team went 2-2 in dual wrestling for the tournament.

Elizabethton’s defending back-to-back state champion Deuce Morton who moved up from 195 to 220 had only one opponent on the day as Morton took care of David Crockett’s David Ingle with a fall at 1:55 of their match.

Also, Trenton Taylor, who came out for wrestling this season went 4-0 on the day with two wins by forfeit and defeating Tyler Fields of Tennessee High with a pinfall at :39 and David Crockett’s Robbie Profitt with a pinfall at :24.
