Mayor Woodby extends local mask mandate

In response to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic in our region, Carter County Mayor Patty Woodby issued Executive Order No. 10 on December 23 extending the requirement for masks to be worn in public places in Carter County.
The face coverings requirement in Carter County, Tenn., fully set forth in Mayoral Executive Order No. 5 dated July 15, 2020, which originally became effective at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on July 17, 2020, and which was set to expire at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on December 27, 2020 following its previous extensions, is hereby extended once again and shall now remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on February 27, 2021.
