Offices at the Carter County Courthouse and Elizabethton Municipal Building will be closed Friday for the observance of the New Year’s holiday.
Because of the holiday, the garbage pickup schedule in the city has been altered. Thursday and Friday’s scheduled collections will be picked up on Thursday.
Also, all state and federal offices will be closed Friday. There will be no mail delivery Friday, and all financial institutions will be closed except for ATM service.
