Raymond McKinley Guy, 81, Butler, passed away to his Heavenly home, Tuesday, December 30, 2020, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Herbert and Lockie Trivette Guy.
Raymond was retired from Colorworks, Elizabethton, and was a member and Deacon of Stone Mountain Baptist Church. He loved his family and loved to work. After retirement he loved to spend his time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Christine Potter Guy; a brother, Richard Guy; three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Ginger Guy of Seymour, Tenn., Todd and Melanie Guy, Johnson City, and Tony Guy, Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Haley Helton and husband Tyler, Taylor Guy, Madison Guy, Ben Guy, Matthew Guy and Kelsey Guy; and a great-grandson, Hudson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, January 4, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Bro. Joe Browning Jr. and Bro. Danny Cooke officiating. Interment will follow in the Trivette Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Gary Guy, Todd Trivette, Matthew Guy, Gary Potter, Scott Potter and Jimmy Guy. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to his neighbors for all the kindness shown to him. The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
