The Elizabethton Cyclone junior varsity turned the visiting Johnson County Longhorns every which way but loose in roundball action inside John Treadway Gym before a sparse crowd of mainly family members for both teams.

Elizabethton built a 14-7 lead at the first horn and ran away from the ‘Horns after that to take the easy 38-point victory, 63-25.

The Cyclones had three players hit double figures in the win led by Nate Stephens and Seth Carter with 10 points apiece. Mason Ball came off the bench to score 10, six of those in the final eight minutes of play.

Graham Reece scored nine points to lead the Longhorns with all the points coming off threes in the final quarter.

Connor Simcox added eight points in the loss for the boys from Mountain City.
