New Liberty
The Eddie & Della Shoun Family will provide special music during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. The music will be followed by a message from the pastor, the Rev. Nick Colbaugh.
Everyone is invited to attend the service.
In addition to in-house worship, other worship options include live streaming at www.nlfwbchurch.com and via 93.3 FM radio for vehicles parked at the church.
New Liberty Free Will is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.

First Christian
The congregation of First Christian Church, Elizabethton, began a study of the book of Galations Jan 6. “The challenges of the book are really right for us as a church right now,” said the minister, Michael Klaus, pointing to the need to be anchored in Christ and not tied down by other things or a different gospel.
The format of the class is not only teaching, but interacting. Each week there will be a worksheet on each chapter and a folder for homework.
The Jan. 13th session will cover the first chapter.
The class will begin at 6 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.

First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have an online worship service Sunday at 11 a.m.
The Rev. David Holmes will preach the sermon “Telling the Truth” based on Ex. 20:16.
Youth and Adult Forums, Wednesday Meditation, and Thursdays with Jesus will meet online this week.
All in-person events remain canceled until further notice.

Roan Street Free Will
Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have an in-car service at 10 a.m. Sunday in the church fellowship hall parking lot.
Minister Brett Jones will present the message.
Those attending can tune into 89.7 FM to listen. Also, those attending are asked to stay in their cars.

Music school canceled
Because of COVID-19 issues, the Watauga Association of Baptist Music School scheduled annually in February has been canceled for this year.
A spokesman for Watauga Baptists said churches are looking forward to future music schools.
