Jr. Lady Cyclones sweep pair from East

The T.A. Dugger Jr. Lady Cyclones made the road trip to Sullivan East Middle School on Monday evening and came back to Elizabethton with a pair of wins as a result.

The Jr. Cyclone varsity continued its strong play as they took a 23-point victory over the Jr. Lady Patriots.

Behind the thunder and lightning package of Andrea Flores and Michelle Shields, Coach Matt Fox’s team rolled to the win. Flores scored a game-high 22 points to show the way for the Jr. Lady Cyclones while Shields poured in 15 points as the duo accounted for 37 of the team’s 53.

Lilly McDuffie and Jamira Smalls contributed to the win with four points each while Lauren Lund and Aubrey Cole collected a trey each to finish with three points.

Addison Holly and Sophie Johnson led East with eight and seven points respectively in the loss.

The JV Jr. Lady Cyclones started the evening by taking a 14-point win over the host Jr. Lady Patriots.

Adrian Heading provided the offensive firepower for TAD as she played string music to the tune of 13 points. Reagan May played a contributing role with seven points.

Other Jr. Lady Cyclones to score included Rylee May and Jasy Shell scoring five points apiece while Sadie Williams chipped in with four points in the win.
