Like a gold-medal Olympian distance runner who is given a 13-minute head start, the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones weren’t about to turn down an opportunity to get a good head start on the visiting Lady Rebels from Sullivan South inside John Treadway Gymnasium.

The Lady Cyclones had built nearly a 20-point lead before the Lady Rebels scored their first point with a little over three minutes left to play before the half as Elizabethton took a 28-6 lead to the locker room and never looked back in taking an easy 57-32 Three Rivers Conference victory.

Torrie Roberts had the hot hand early on for the Lady Cyclones scoring eight points in the first half of play. Lina Lyon sank seven points and Morgan Headrick added six as Coach Lucas Andrews squad built the 22-point lead after 16 minutes of action.
