Carter County Coroner Benny Colbaugh confirmed to a STAR reporter that a car that was pulled from the Watauga River in the Lynn Valley area of the county on Wednesday evening contained a deceased person.

This story is developing as the scene currently is being investigated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
