Timothy Doyle “Dinger” Pippin, 48, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January, 2, 2021. He was the son of the late Jack Pippin.
Dinger was a wonderful person and talented tattoo artist. He was preceded in death by his son, Dylan Pippin; his older brother, Todd Pippin; a sister, Tina Pippin; his stepfather, Hobe Birchfield; and his grandparents, L.D. and Bea Rummage and Frank and Marie Pippin.
Dinger is survived by his mother, Kathryn “Sue” Pippin Birchfield; his children, Noah Pippin, Christopher Hawkins and Haven Woods; his sisters, Tammie Cole and husband Mike, and Terri Phipps and Ron Oliver; his brother, Ted Pippin; and his very best friend, Matt Hammett. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, at the Recovery Soldiers Ministries at 1180 Bristol Highway, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
