Kimberly Dawn Oliver VanHuss, born March 9, 1970, passed away, surrounded by family and friends, at the Johnson City Medical Center on February 21, 2021.
A memorial service will be held in Kim’s honor on March 9, 2021, at 5 p.m. at Southside Christian Church with Pastor Mike Koruschak presiding.
Kim was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Bonnie Garland Clark of Elizabethton; her father, Clayton Oliver; and her step-father, Herman Cody.
Kim is survived by her two wonderful sons, Maddox Tressler and Clayton “Clay” Oliver, of the home, and her mother, Frenda Clark King, Erwin. Kim has several cousins and their families remaining: Debbie Nave Villidares of Virginia, Jill Nave Sexton, Elizabethton, Hope Harrison White (John), Elizabethton, Keith Nave, Elizabethton, and Joy Harrison, Elizabethton; a special friend of many years, Tammy Bailey Allen, Butler, and fiancé, the love of her life, Danny Bailey, Elizabethton.
Kim worked for years as an LPN, taking care of the sick and injured, but her most loved job was being a mother and taking care of her two sons. Kim was a loving mother, cousin, sister, aunt, and she will be truly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be made to a fund that has been established for Kim’s children, Maddox and Clay.
