To the Editor:
Pastor Billy Crone says the number of witches has skyrocketed. Crone wrote a book called, “The Rise of Witchcraft.” Crone understands witchcraft and Satan because before becoming a Christian he was a follower of Satan. Crone says today witches are proudly coming out of the broom closet. In the past witches didn’t want people to know they were witches. Many people believe and there is evidence that Hillary Clinton is a witch or a Satan worshiper but she has never come out of the closet and admitted it.
Thousands of witches also said they cast a spell to ‘bind’ Trump.
In 2019 the New York Times asked in an article, “When did everybody become witches?” The New York Times said there was an explosion of witches or those practicing witchcraft now. A record number of new witch books began coming out in the fall of 2019. Dr. James Emery White said, “There may be more Americans who identify as practicing witches than there are members of mainline Presbyterianism. Sadly I know two witches that grew up here in Elizabethton.
Marianne Williamson, a New Age witch and spiritual advisor to Globalist Billionaire Oprah, ran as a Democrat candidate for president in 2020. Witchcraft has gone mainstream and witchcraft is thriving in Washington D.C. and other cities. They even formed groups or clubs called “Citywitches.” Walt Disney launched a new children’s show called, “The Owl House” in January 2020 that encourages and grooms children to accept witchcraft and demonology as a way to fight evil. Ordained minister the Rev. Valerie Love describes herself as a practicing Christian witch. The 2021 Super Bowl winning quarterback Tom Brady attributes his success to witchcraft, pagan alters and protection stones from his witch wife. “She said you’re lucky you married a witch — I’m just a good witch.”
There are no good witches or Christian witches according to the Bible. The Bible condemns witchcraft in all its many forms. Being a witch and or practicing witchcraft is an abomination unto the Lord God. All forms of witchcraft are strictly forbidden in the Bible as being tied to the occult and the work and world of the evil one, Satan. Many who practice witchcraft or worship Satan will try to kill themselves or others. The Bible in Deuteronomy 18 gives warnings against unholy practices and says, Let no one be found among you who practices sorcery, engages in witchcraft or casts spells. Anyone who does these things is abomination (detestable) to the Lord. The rise in witches, demon worship and sorceries is a sign that the tribulation spoken of by Revelation is close. The Bible says in Revelation that people would not repent from these evils. Why serve a loser that wants to kill you and all those you love? Satan wins some battles but loses the war. The last book and chapters of the Bible says Satan is defeated, sin is defeated and death is defeated. “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” No matter what pain you are going through, it’s not the last word — Jesus has written the final chapter. Jesus is the author and finisher. Believers live forever in paradise with Jesus. As a Christian song title says, “I can only imagine!”
