2nd Timothy 4:7: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I kept the faith.”
Melissa Dawn “Mammy” Richardson gained her heavenly wings Friday, March 5, 2021, at her home after an extended illness. She was born August 15, 1958, and resided in Hampton, Tenn., her whole life.
Melissa loved her family, pink flamingos and swimming, which was one of her favorite things to do. She was the best wife, momma and mammy in the entire world. She was affectionately called Mammy by most everyone that was blessed enough to know her. She was a faithful member of Sunset Freewill Baptist Church.
Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Harold Lee Nave.
She is survived by her mother, Farris Orlein Nave; her loving husband of 43 years, Terry Richardson; her devoted daughter, Rachel Richardson Laws; her precious grandchildren, Brianna “Bree” Hoyle and Bryson Laws; her sister, Patti Whitson and husband Brad Whitson; her nephew, Nathan Whitson and wife Laura; her special “sisters,” Kim Richardson, Donna Fritts, Lela Fuller and Vicki Fuller; several other nieces and nephews; and her church family.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. James Shipley and the staff of Burgie Drug Store.
