Dorothy “Dot” Marie Stout, 89, formerly of the Poga Community in Butler, Tenn., passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Good Samaritan Assisted Living in Kissimmee, Fla. She was a daughter of the late William Haskell and Lona Marie Andes Stout and was born in Carter County on April 8, 1931. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Delores “Janet” Tucker, Jean Miller, Joy Pennington and Sandra Miller, and two brothers, Ray Haskell Stout and William Haskell Stout Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include one brother, Don Stout of Orlando, Fla., and one sister, Margie G. Stout Church of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Dorothy “Dot” Marie Stout will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at the Stout Hill Church of Christ in Poga with Mr. Donnie Cable, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m., prior to the funeral. The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral at the Haskell Stout Family Cemetery (located at 548 Poga Road, Butler, Tenn.). Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve.
