Keep Carter County Beautiful, Keep Tennessee Beautiful, Carter County Landfill, Carter County Mayors Office, and the City of Elizabethton announce EDUCATIONAL, AWARENESS EVENT/TARP Give-A-Away event. The event takes place on May 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Carter County Landfill.
The above agencies are partnering together and will be handing out tarps to cover your loads to all trucks arriving at the Carter County Landfill. In doing so it is encouraged that all trucks will cover their loads in the future. 
Most Tennessee highway litter comes from uncovered loads. The goal is for everyone to receive this gift and use it to protect our highways, your bank account, and the environment!
