It’s a day that many kids, as well as parents, can’t wait to roll around each year as the 2021 Free Fishing Day was held on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
As always, the pond located across from the Elizabethton Municipal Airport was surrounded by a large group of squealing kids and excited parents as one catfish after another was reeled in from the pond making for an exciting time for everyone.
The event sponsored by the TWRA, Elizabethton Parks and Rec, and Barker’s Drive-In was a huge success and even Carter County Mayor Patty Woodby was on hand serving hotdogs and other food items to those in attendance.
Star Photographer Cara McCloud was on hand for the event making memories with her own children and catching some great photos of all the smiles from those in attendance.
