Linda Ann Pleasant Cole, 79, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, after an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Hansel and Patsy Pleasant. She was raised by her aunt, Miss Flossie Pleasant.
Linda was a 1959 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 40 years. She was employed at Carter County Memorial Hospital, the nursing department of NARC and retired from Life Care Center of Elizabethton. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Linda was a homemaker. She loved working in her flowers, yard work and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Cole, who passed away January 19, 2020, and a brother, Master Sgt. U.S. Air Force, James Ronnie Pleasant, who passed away in December 2006.
Survivors include her children, Shelby Cole (Doug) Rasnick, Barbara (Scott) Curtis and Christy Simerly (Rick Barker), and one granddaughter, Hannah Simerly (Caleb) Marshall.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 22, in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery with Dr. Kenneth Jordan and her son-in-law, Doug Rasnick, officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, will be Doug Rasnick, Rick Barker, Caleb Marshall, Josh Rasnick, Eli Rasnick and Scott Curtis. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
