The First Judicial District Felony Recovery Court will have a graduation ceremony Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 7:15 p.m. in the second floor courtroom of the historic Carter County Main Courtroom.
Prior to the graduation ceremony a reception will be held from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
The First Judicial District Felony Recovery Court provides alternatives to jail time, such as counseling, curriculum, and access to several opportunities that are designed to support their sobriety. It’s an important tool to those who need help staying out of the cycle of jail time, being released, and then returning.
The courthouse is located at 801 E. Elk Ave.
