For those living on ETSU’s campus this fall, there are three days in which students can move their belongings from their house to an assigned dormitory. Those dates being Tuesday, August 17th, Wednesday, August 18th, and Thursday, August 19th, giving students an ample amount of time to become acquainted with campus before that next Monday.

Thursday, August 19th will also mark another huge event for new students to become familiar with their new school, as it is the kickoff of East Tennessee State University’s 40th annual Preview event. This event is a three day experience sponsored by ETSU that makes students “Feel at home and at ease before classes begin.”  spanning from the 19th all the way to the following Sunday, August 22nd.

Preview spans from the 19th of August all the way to the following Sunday, August 22nd and is open to all new students at the university. Those wishing to attend preview before this upcoming fall semester can email orientation@etsu.edu to register for the event.

To further welcome new students to ETSU, the university will host their week of welcome which will include events such as “Bucky’s Back to School Bash” on August 24th in the University Commons, “Recfest” on August 25th in the Basler Center for Physical Activity, “Culparoo” on August 27th in the D.P. Culp Student Center, and an outdoor concert featuring Kip Moore at the CPA Backyard on August 29th at 7:30 pm.

There will be many other events hosted by East Tennessee State University throughout the upcoming fall semester, and for those interested in learning more about ETSU’s Week of Welcome and all other events, visit www.etsu.edu/students/sao for more information.
