Six local high schools have been invited as presentees at the 61st Annual Teen Board this evening in Knoxville. They include:
Cagney Renee Bennet, Allison Elizabeth Bowers, Isabelle Grace Bowers, Morgan Beth Guinn, Kaylee Christina Hollifield, and Sadie Mae Shoun.
The dance is one of the largest teenage (black tie) dances in the country where teenagers and adults alike enjoy the same social occasion. Last year hundreds of leading teenagers as well as adults (from various parts of the United States) enjoyed the same event. Far more than any other social fling, the Teen Board Presentation Dance of Knoxville is one of the most elegant and auspicious occasions on the social calendar in this part of Tennessee and the whole state.
Although it is a social event — a dance and social debut for teenagers — it is far more. The Teen Board’s objective is to build leaders for the future.
The Teen Board of Knoxville is a private, non-profit organization solely for teenagers grades 9-12, with adult help. Its purpose is to get teenagers to work and take the lead in civic and welfare projects, and to lift their social and moral life to higher standards. Last year over 10,500 hours were given to civic and welfare projects for charitable organizations.
After 61 years, adults have seen results of this work in the good leadership in colleges and universities shown by former members. By learning to help those less fortunate at this age, in turn they have helped themselves develop a public and civic responsibility they are carrying on as adults.
“The Presentation Dance is a reward for those local girls and boys who have completed their hours of service. We honor selected girls from other parts of the country who are rising seniors, by inviting them to be presented along with our outstanding teenagers,” said Kendra Walker Patty of the Teen Board of Knoxville.

ALLISON ELIZABETH BOWERS and ISABELLE GRACE BOWERS are students at Hampton High School. They are the daughters of The Honorable Judge Keith Bowers Jr. and Mrs. Tracy Bowers.
Allison is a four-year varsity cheerleader, a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Student Council, HOSA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Bulldog Prep Club, and Genre Club.
Isabelle is also a four-year varsity cheerleader of which she is co-captain. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Student Council, HOSA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Bulldog Prep Club, and Genre Club.
Both Allision and Isabelle share the same court. They include Madison McClellan, Emma Harmon, Marina Bailey, Mailey Stout, Riley Nichols, and Shania Pierce.

CAGNEY RYANNE BENNETT is the daughter of Randall and Jancey Bennett, Elizabethton. She is a student at Elizabethton High School.
Cagney is a varsity cheerleader, a Watts Showcase dancer, a member of the Elizabethton High National Honor Society, Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Student Government Association.
She is also a member of First United Methodist Church, where she is a volunteer for Food for the Multitude and the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Cagney also is a volunteer for the Imagination Library and the Isaiah 117 House. She is a representative for ALA Volunteer Girls State and has participated in pageants across the United States.

KAYLEE CHRISTINA HOLLIFIELD is the daughter of Chris and Monica Hollifield. She is a senior at Elizabethton High School.
Kaylee is founder of Kaylee’s Helping Hands, in which she volunteers all over the United States, collecting and donating needed items for homeless shelters. She also does community service work with Haven of Mercy, Salvation Army, Good Samaritan, Smokey Mountain Children’s Homes, Nashville Rescue Mission, Seasons of Home, Inc., Georgetown, Ky. Homeless Shelter and Lexington, Ky. Homeless Shelter.
Kaylee received the Governor Star Award and the Presidential Community Service Gold Medal. She also created an anti-bullying app and bracelet.
Kaylee is a member of First Baptist Church, Elizabethton, has been a varsity cheerleader at Elizabethton High for three years, a Starz Competitive Cheerleader, and has participated in pageants, winning several state titles and two state titles. She was Miss Citrus National Preteen in 2015, Miss Teen USA 2018, and modeled for New York Fashion Week.
At Elizabethton High, Kaylee is a member of the National Honor Society, is in the top ten percent of her class, is a member of the Student Government, Mountain Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

MORGAN BETH GUINN is the daughter of Jeff and Angela Guinn of Elizabethton. She is a senior at Elizabethton High School.
Morgan is a varsity cheerleader, president of the EHS Student Body, senior in the Key Club, has a clinical internship, is a color guard in the Betsy Band, and National Honor Society President.

SADIE MAE SHOUN is the daughter of Ryan and Jennifer Shoun. She is a senior at Unaka High School.
Sadie is a member of the Unaka Lady Rangers Softball Team, is a member of the BETA Club, HOSA, the National Honor Society, FCA, and Key Club. Sadie is also a member of the Rangers Golf Team.
She is a member of New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Youth Club and Boom Select Travel Softball Team.
Members of her court include Bree Presnell, Haley Gosnell, Kendall Bare, Macy Ensor, Carter Shaw, and Tate Shaw.
