Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Beginning this football season, the Elizabethton Star will name one player from each school that we cover during Friday Night Lights to be the Star Player of the Week based on their performance during their team’s contest.
For Week Two, here are the outstanding performers.

Cloudland
Caleb Sluder
Cloudland senior Caleb Sluder rushed for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns to help his Highlanders build a 46-8 halftime advantage on their way to a 56-22 Region 1 1A tilt win against Unaka that put Cloudland in the early driver’s seat in the Region.

Happy Valley
Andrew Little
In a losing effort against Chuckey Doak, Andrew Little was the workhorse for the Warriors. They went to him on almost every single offensive play and his effort never relented. Little showed that he is just one explosive cut from taking it to the house on any given play.
