There are not too many families who at one time or another have not been impacted by a disease that doesn’t have any respect of person or age for that matter and that is cancer.

On Saturday in downtown Elizabethton, the annual Relay for Life took place in person as those who have successfully battled and defeated cancer came together to celebrate with other survivors as well.

Also, those who lost their battle to the disease were remembered by lit luminaries later in the evening that stretched across and around the Covered Bridge Park area.
