Borderview Christian
Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway, will continue its 150th anniversary celebration with a Night of Praise Under the Tent Sunday at 6 p.m.
The outdoor service, with COVID safety in mind, will feature church talent, both vocally and instrumental.
The public is invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy this night of praise.
Scott Fisher is the senior pastor and Sallie Biles is the youth director.

CCCMF Meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. at Gap Creek Christian Church. The guest speaker is Dwayne Calhoun, minister at Hampton Christian Church.
All men are invited to attend.

Grace Baptist
Sunday night services during September at Grace Baptist Church feature a different format.
Services begin at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 19, will feature Proverbs & Praise in the sanctuary.
A Hymn Sing featuring favorite hymns will be held in the sanctuary at 6 p.m.
The public is invited.

First Baptist
Thursdays With Jesus will be held Thursday, Sept. 23, at First Baptist Church, Elizabethton. The service, which includes a children’s ministry, is open to the community and those who need a “lift” spiritually or who are looking for a church.
Dinner will be provided at 6 p.m. followed by worship and children’s activities. Transportation will be provided by calling the church office at 543-1931.
This month’s speaker is Teresa Bowers Parker of Elizabethton. Music will be provided by Teresa and her sister, Loretta, Jamie Schaff and Catherine Bunton.

Pleasant Beach
Gavin Walls of Oliver Springs will preach Sunday evening at Pleasant Beach Baptist Church with special music by the Edwards Family. The service is part of the September Singing and Preaching series at the church.
Also, the Senior Friends at the church will have Bible School Sept. 27-29 with a meal at 5:30 p.m. followed by music at 6:15 p.m.

Calvary Baptist
Calvary Baptist Church, Elizabethton, will have a community-wide block party Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. to kick off the Awana fall season.
There will be inflatables, food, games, fun and surprises.
The church is located at 225 Holly Lane.

Cove Creek Community
Mike Upright will present special music Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at Cove Creek Community Church, Roan Mountain.
The pastor, the Rev. Tim Hughes, invites the public to attend.

First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have an online service Sunday at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt will present the sermon “Burning Down The Ladder” based on Mark 9: 30-37.
Youth and Adult Forums, Wednesday Meditation, and Thursdays With Jesus will all meet online this week.

Roan Street Free Will
The Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have in house services Sunday with Sunday School at 10 a.m. followed by morning worship at 11 a.m.
No Name But His will present special singing at morning worship and the message will be presented by the Rev. Donnie Harris.
Everyone is required to wear a mask upon entering and exiting the building.
The Wednesday evening service will be at 7 p.m.
Everyone is invited.
