Drive-through testing hours for COVID change

The Northeast Regional Health Office announces local health departments throughout the region will change their testing hours beginning Monday, Sept. 27. Health departments within the public region include Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins-Church Hill, Hawkins-Rogersville, Johnson, Unicoi, and Washington Counties.
COVID-19 drive-through testing is done by a nurse with a nasal swab. Local health departments within the region will provide PCR drive-through testing Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Self-testing kids are available at each of the local health departments Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Drive-through testing in Carter County is done at the Great Lakes Workforce Development Facility on Highway 91. Pick-up self-test kits are available at the health department at 403 E. G St.
