Morton named NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week

Former Elizabethton linebacker Jonathan ‘Deuce’ Morton was named the NAIA Football and MSC Bluegrass Division Defensive Player of the Week after his performance against Webber International (FL) this past Saturday helping the Pikeville Bears take a 59-0 win.
Morton, who was a standout as a Cyclone, accounted for eight tackles, one pass breakup, and a 90-yard pick-six in the victory.
In two games, Morton has recorded 17 tackles (9 solos, 8 asst.), two tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and recovery, and the interception for a touchdown.
