The Elizabethton Star weekly recognizes the Player of the Week from the previous week’s games. The Week Five standouts are as follows:
Elizabethton
Bryson Rollins
In another challenging game for the Cyclones, Rollins continued to shine bright as the senior quarterback had a hand in three touchdowns – one passing and two rushing in the Cyclones 27-7 victory over Anderson County.
Rollins completed 3-of-13 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown to Jake Roberts and showed up big on the ground carrying the ball 22 times for 165 yards and two scores while leading the team as the field general.
Cloudland
Seth Birchfield
The senior Highlander running back had his hand in on several scores for Cloudland in their win over the visiting Cosby Eagles. Birchfield recorded three rushing scores and tacked on a pair of two-point conversions.
Birchfield and team will host West Greene on Friday night at Orr Field.
Unaka
Landon Ramsey
The junior signal-caller was 16-of-21 through the air for 200 yards passing on the night while scoring the only touchdown that the Rangers would need in beating Happy Valley for the first time since 1996.
Unaka makes the long drive to coal country Friday night when they journey to Harlan, Kentucky.
