Sadly, polls show socialism is growing in popularity among blacks, women and those under 35 years old in America. I was thankful to see great Christian Pastor Dr. David Jeremiah and Dennis Prager recently speaking out against socialism and communism. Also military leader Lt Col. Robert Maginnis spoke out against Marxism in his book, “Give me Liberty not Marxism.”
Maginnis said Communist China has increased its influence over America and as a result socialism, communism and even Marxism are being taught in schools and praised in most colleges. Maginnis said China has a lot of influence in Hollywood, our media and our colleges. Karl Marx wrote “Communist Manifesto in 1848 in which world socialism was publicly praised and promoted for the first time. Both Maginnis and Jeremiah said Karl Marx’ own family considered him to be influenced by demons and some say demon possessed. Marx’ own father said, “governed by a demon.” Marx’ wife called him “wicked.” His friend Engels had this to say about Marx, “monster of ten thousand devils.” Scholars portray Marx and his philosophy as satanically inspired.
Robert Payne, a biographer of Marx, wrote in his book, “There were times when Marx seemed to be possessed by demons.” Payne continued: “He (Marx) had the devil’s view of the world, and the devil’s malignity. Sometimes he seemed to know that he was accomplishing works of evil.” Marx hated Christianity. Marx said, “communism abolishes eternal truths… and all religions and all morality!”
The United Nations (U.N.) supports world socialism. Cliff Kincaid said, “… the practical result of ditching capitalism for socialism will be more poverty, suffering and death.” Socialism is a political and economic theory advocating government ownership of the means of production and control of distribution. Socialism is another form of control by the government that gives the government more power and the people less freedom.
Margaret Thatcher said, “Socialism only works until you run out of other people’s money.” This happened to socialist Greece when it went bankrupt. There’s no historical example of successful long-term socialism. Communism is socialism’s more violent form. No socialist or communist countries have ever produced one worker’s paradise on planet earth. Socialism/communism governments are the most evil and demonic inspired. Dennis Prager said, the Bible in Psalms states: “Those of you who love God must hate evil.” Prager said another way of putting it: “Those of you who love people must hate evil.” “If you don’t hate communism, you don’t care about, much less love, people.”
Socialists mislead people to believe only the government can help people financially. Socialists mislead people to believe that the way to get ahead is to punish people who have achieved financial success. They convince people that the amount of wealth in the world is fixed and when someone gets richer they are always taking from the poor. This isn’t the way the world works. Wealth is created and destroyed every day and poor people can get rich without making others poorer. Few people are trying to move to socialist countries like Cuba or Venezuela where most people have no air conditioning and eat the same thing like rice, corn and beans every day. No one is looking for the Cuban or Venezuelan dream. More people want to move to America more than any other country and have the American dream. America is the only nation in the world where people have freedom and a prosperous middle class. The Bible teaches real eternal riches only come from Jesus.
Supporters of socialism should consider these wise words from Pastor Boetcke, “You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn. You cannot build character and courage by taking away man’s initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.”
America’s free enterprise system is the best economic system because it’s the most supportive of individual freedom, and the most in accord with human nature. America’s Christian foundations of loving one’s neighbor and working hard, combined with its free enterprise system, have provided liberty, prosperity and opportunity unprecedented in world history!
