Former Happy Valley High School head basketball coach Charlie Bayless reached another milestone when he turned 98-years-old according to his granddaughter Melissa Ferraro.
Bayless served as a veteran in World War II. He was a former player and coach at Happy Valley High School and ETSU.
He is currently listed in the ETSU Hall of Fame.
Bayless coached for over 64 years with over 900 wins. He celebrated 74 years of marriage. His wife, Jane Bayless, passed away just last year.
