Food City recently teamed up with Samaritan Feet and Coca-Cola Consolidated
to provide backpacks filled with non-perishable foods and Hope Totes filled with
shoes and accessories to students in need in the Johnson City area.
 
The backpacks were provided by Coca-Cola Consolidated and Food City provided
the non-perishable food items. Volunteers from both companies worked together to
assemble the backpacks. Approximately 375 children in need received backpacks,
which were delivered to South Side Elementary School to distribute to area students
in need.
