The Elizabethton High School band is inviting everyone to attend the 2021 ‘Betsy Band state sendoff performance at 8 p.m. Thursday inside Citizens Bank Stadium.
The band will be delivering its full performance for the upcoming state band competition on Nov. 6.
The ‘Betsy Band is coming off another award-winning performance at Western Carolina University where they were named Reserve Grand Champion, a second-place finish behind nationally ranked Dobyns-Bennett High School from Kingsport.
This will be the first state competition for the band in two years due to the COVID pandemic. The band will also be showing off newly purchased uniforms at the state championship.
Jonathan Valentine is the band’s director.
