Happy Valley Elementary’s PTO and librarian Sabrina Baker coordinated a Pumpkin Decorating Contest for students this week. Participants were asked to select their favorite book character as inspiration for decorating the pumpkins. Monica Hollifield said the project was part of an ongoing effort to get families more involved. “We were so excited and overwhelmed with the creativity of all these amazing pumpkins and that our families got involved,” Hollifield said. “We are thrilled to see things getting somewhat back to normal and appreciate our Happy Valley families.” Pictured are several of the decorated pumpkins.
