Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. announces the grand opening of its newest retail store and donation center in Elizabethton on Thursday, November 18. Located at 791 West Elk Avenue at the Bemberg Center, this newest location offers customers over 5,700 square feet of shopping and a convenient drive-through drop-off point for donations.

This new retail location helps Goodwill Industries of Tenneva continue its mission of providing employment services to those in need. In addition to the retail sales floor and donation center, the Elizabethton Goodwill will soon be home to a training center that will be open to the community.

“We are honored to be serving the Elizabethton community,” said Morris Baker, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Tenneva. “We placed an attended donation center in Elizabethton in 2019 and the response was tremendous.” In opening this new retail location, Goodwill will also be co-locating a training center next to the store. Baker said, “our intent is to expand our efforts to provide jobs and skills training for those who need help.” Matt DeLozier, Goodwill’s Director of Human Capital explained, “Our organization will be talking with various community partners to assess what is needed. We seek to be value added in communities.”
