Defense for the Lady Cyclones was locked in during the first half, holding the Lady Warriors to only eight points compared to the Jr. Lady Cyclones who scored 16 points.

The third quarter was a different story. The Lady Warriors scored 11 points, reversing roles on the Lady Cyclones, coming up with several steals. The Lady Cyclones stayed in the game however scoring 10 points.

The fourth quarter started with the Lady Cyclones ahead 26-20. Once again, the Lady Warriors defense stepped up and forced the Lady Cyclones to turn the ball over frequently.

However, the Lady Warriors’ seven fouls in the second half was the price to pay for their defense. This put the Lady Cyclones in the bonus. The Lady Cyclones scored eight of their 19 points in the second half off of bonus free throws.

The Lady Warriors defense started off slow but ended up forcing 14 turnovers, while only giving up 1 turnover in the entire game.

It’s safe to say the Lady Cyclones offense won this game. Adrian Heading put up 14 points followed by Michelle Shields’ 10 points. The remaining point leaders were Rylee May (6 pts), Jamira Smalls (5 pts), and Reagan May (2 pts).
